South Korea’s Heuron has signed a distribution agreement to deliver its medical AI solutions to Thailand. The agreement involves a partnership with Medhealth Informatics, a joint venture between Thai medical device distributor CMC Biotech and Thai GL, a major distributor of medical AI software. This partnership will focus on selling Heuron’s products in Thailand, including the stroke triage AI solution Heuron StroCare Suite, the brain atrophy analysis tool Heuron AD, and the PET tracer quantification software Heuron Brain PET.
The agreement outlines plans for Heuron and Medhealth Informatics to distribute and sell these AI solutions to hospitals across Thailand. In addition, both companies will collaborate in the second half of 2024 to obtain Thai certification for Heuron StroCare Suite, Heuron AD, and Heuron Brain PET.
Meanwhile, Thailand’s Siriraj Hospital announced plans to expand its use of AI in mammogram and CT brain analysis services by the end of the year. This expansion builds on the hospital’s existing AI integration in key areas such as radiology, pathology, and ophthalmology.
The primary goal of this initiative is to enhance the accuracy of detecting abnormalities, improve disease diagnosis, and optimize the workflow of medical personnel. By leveraging AI, the hospital aims to provide more precise and efficient medical services.
In addition to these developments, Siriraj Hospital has also utilized AI to improve the accuracy of centroblast cell counting in a study, contributing to more precise lymphoma grading.
