Manhattan Associates Inc., in collaboration with Google Cloud and Zebra Technologies, has unveiled the first Unified Commerce Benchmark for Specialty Retail in Singapore. Conducted by Incisiv, the analysis assessed 33 retailers across four categories: search and discovery, cart and checkout, promising and fulfillment, and service and support. Based on real-world shopping transactions, the benchmark reveals common attributes of successful specialty retailers and identifies opportunities for enhancing customer value and operational efficiency.
The study highlights the importance of personalized shopping experiences, efficient checkout processes, eco-friendly packaging options, and effective customer support through messaging platforms. Leading brands such as Nike, Adidas, Dior, UNIQLO, and Charles & Keith were recognized for their excellence in these areas. Personalization, real-time inventory visibility, swift checkout options, and environmentally friendly practices were key factors contributing to their success.
With digital payment adoption reaching 87% and eCommerce sales in Singapore expected to grow at a CAGR of 8.9%, the dynamic retail sector is rapidly evolving. The integration of AI and RFID technologies is crucial for streamlining inventory management and enhancing customer experiences. The benchmark emphasizes the need for a unified commerce strategy to seamlessly join digital and in-person experiences, ensuring retailers remain competitive in Singapore’s fast-paced retail market.
