In response to the growing demand for facial contouring, ViMUT Hospital, a prominent private healthcare provider in Bangkok, has expanded its services by launching a new Maxillofacial Contouring Centre.
According to Grand View Research, Thailand’s aesthetic treatment sector was valued at USD 1.46 billion in 2023 and is projected to grow at a compounded annual growth rate of 11.6% between 2024 and 2030, reaching USD 3.54 billion by 2030. Key drivers of this growth include the rising popularity of non-invasive procedures, the boom in medical tourism, and an ageing population. Cities like Bangkok and Phuket serve as major hubs for cosmetic procedures, drawing international patients due to the combination of high-quality services and lower costs.
The new centre aligns with ViMUT Hospital’s goal of offering comprehensive health and beauty services, catering to the increasing demand for cosmetic procedures among younger generations. Surawee Chaithumrongkool, CEO of Vimut Hospital Holding Company Limited, noted that younger consumers are investing more in beauty, and the hospital is prepared to meet this demand with its new centre.
Highlighting Thailand’s competitive edge, she emphasised the country’s ability to provide affordable cosmetic surgery without compromising on quality, meeting international standards. ViMUT Hospital’s expansion further strengthens Thailand’s reputation as a leading destination for cosmetic surgery and aesthetic treatments in Asia.
The hospital has observed changing demographics among cosmetic surgery patients. While Gen Y women and the LGBTQIA+ community have been the primary clients, interest is growing among Generation Z and men aged 20 to 45, contributing to long-term growth despite economic challenges in other sectors.
The Maxillofacial Contouring Centre at ViMUT Hospital offers a range of services, from consultations to advanced surgeries, specialising in facial bone, jaw, and oral and maxillofacial procedures. The hospital emphasises its ability to address multiple issues through precise and comprehensive treatments.
