FairPrice Group (FPG) has signed a partnership agreement with Thailand’s Central Food Retail Group (CFG) to expand the selection of Thai food products available in Singapore, set to launch in FairPrice stores and online platforms from November. This collaboration brings over 30 new items, including popular Thai snacks, fruit chips, cookies, seasonings, and pastes, to FPG’s outlets, meeting the growing demand among Singaporeans for authentic Thai flavors. With CFG’s Tops-branded products and other private labels, Singaporean shoppers will soon have greater access to Thai culinary products across FPG’s supermarkets, convenience stores, and digital platforms.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) also includes a two-way product exchange, with FPG’s house-brand products and local brands like Golden Chef becoming available in CFG’s network of over 700 retail locations in Thailand. This marks FPG’s first MOU with a Thai retailer and builds on its recent partnership with South Korea’s LOTTE Retail, underscoring FPG’s commitment to expanding its offering of international flavors. By providing easier access to global cuisine, FPG seeks to enhance the shopping experience for Singaporeans interested in diverse culinary traditions.
This partnership also supports Thai small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through CFG’s Tops Tongtin initiative, which prioritizes local Thai products. Through CFG’s well-established omnichannel infrastructure in Thailand, FPG products will reach a broad audience, further promoting cultural and culinary exchange between Singapore and Thailand.
