Indonesia and Hungary are going to establish a USD 500 million joint investment fund to finance Indonesian Infrastructure investments in transport and water management. Both countries are expected to put in equal contribution, with Hungary managing the fund. Hungarian companies can take part in Infrastructure investments with credit from Magyar Eximbank.
Currently, Hungarian companies are actively supporting Infrastructure projects in Indonesia. The Budapest Waterworks finished a water purification investment worth USD 36 million. Another Hungarian company is in talks for an electronic toll system.
Negotiations for the involvement of Hungarian companies in upgrading three military hospitals are nearing the end stage. There are also ongoing talks on a USD 150 million tied-aid agreement to install oncology equipment in three hospitals.
