Grundfos Philippines launched its Prefabricated Pumping Stations (PPS) in the Philippines to help the country’s increasing needs for flood and wastewater management. With the Philippines’ government starting to address the flood and water sanitation issues, Grundfos believes that their PPS will play a critical role.
The PPS, a turnkey solution of Grundfos is designed to be energy efficient and operate reliably in the long run, unlike the traditional pumping stations made of concrete that are prone for corrosion and leakage. It is also made of hard-wearing plastic, its greater durability paired with an advanced control system means optimized operations, and in turn greater energy savings. Apart from flood control, this pumping station has the capability to collect and transport wastewater which is very useful and helpful in wastewater management process.
Grundfos has already installed its first PPS at Lio, a tourism estate in the Philippine province of Palawan. The water and wastewater facilities of this site is owned and operated by Manila Water’s business unit, Estate Water (EW). EW was established to exclusively provide water and used water services to Ayala Land, Inc, a leading real estate developer in the country.
