SCYTALYS, a leading Greek provider of Defense Interoperability Systems and a member of EFA GROUP, has announced the successful handover of the System Interoperability Kodal (SIK) program to the Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI). This collaboration follows the completion of a USD 49 million contract awarded by the Indonesian Ministry of Defence.
The SIK Program significantly advances the TNI’s modernization strategy, creating a robust and tailored Interoperability Framework for all TNI sectors. This framework, designed and developed by SCYTALYS, allows TNI Headquarters (MABES TNI) to establish a Network-Centric Warfare (NCW) Interoperability environment, enabling a smooth exchange of tactical information across the Indonesian Armed Forces. The advanced Command and Control (C2) Centre is central to this strategic program, which serves as the main hub for the Interoperability Framework meticulously designed and implemented by SCYTALYS.
A significant accomplishment of the SIK Program is the introduction of the Indonesian National Data Link Standard (INDL). This sophisticated Data Link protocol transforms interoperability across all sectors of the Indonesian Armed Forces. The INDL technology improves situational awareness and operational readiness while granting data link sovereignty to Indonesia. Furthermore, the creation of the Common Operational Picture (COP) is enabled through the smooth data exchange among the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Air Defense headquarters. SCYTALYS’s core products, including MIMS C2 and ULS, support this integration.
SCYTALYS has also installed the Integrated Surveillance and Monitoring Station in Natuna, a strategically important location in the South China Sea. This station enhances situational awareness along this crucial maritime border. Moreover, SCYTALYS has invested in building the capacity of Indonesian personnel and the local defense industry by offering extensive training programs in Greece and Indonesia. This ensures that the Indonesian Armed Forces have the skills to utilize the implemented solution fully.
As the SIK Program advances, SCYTALYS continues demonstrating its commitment to advancing technology that will influence the future of defense operations globally, including in Indonesia.
