The southern province of Dong Nai in Vietnam has advertised a list of 12 Infrastructure projects which require a more than a USD 1.2 billion investment in total.
Six of the projects are in the transport sector, the largest being a 15km road in Nhon Trach District at a value of USD 235 million. The other half are in the wastewater treatment and drainage sector, which include two projects in Bien Hoa jointly worth USD 357 million and in four other places.
Both local and foreign investors are asked to invest. The province is no stranger to FDI, as it has attracted more than USD 373 million in 38 different FDI projects as of the end of March. USD 152.6 million was assigned to 18 new FDI projects and 20 existing projects received a USD 220.5 million injection. In total, the province has hosted 1,901 FDI projects with an accumulated capital of USD 34.1 billion. Of these, 1,400 projects are currently running at a combined worth of USD 28.9 billion.
According to the provincial authorities, the projects are primarily in the Environmentally friendly support industry and high tech applications, and conceived to promote social economic development and safeguards for the Environment.
