US manufacturer of shelf-stable, plant-based foods, Atlantic Natural Foods (ANF) will launch two plant-based meal products—Hawaiian Bowl and Ultimate Vegetarian Chili—under its Loma Linda brand, after registering 40% year-on-year growth. The new products have been developed in collaboration with Costco and will be rolled out by the end of August. As a result, the company announced that it will increase its production in its joint venture operation in Thailand with Pataya Food Group under Healthy Life Foods Co., Ltd., to meet the growing demand. Pataya Food Group is the leading shelf stable seafood manufacturer and distributor in Thailand.
ANF announced that it was building a 47,000-square-foot facility in Thailand in collaboration with the Pataya Food Group. Completion of this new facility is expected by the end of June 2020. ANF declared that it will be the first space in Thailand fully dedicated to shelf-stable, plant-based foods production and that it will collaborate with Thailand’s leading university, Kasetsart University for research and food innovation.
This new facility will leverage vegetable products from the farms of Thailand and will supply ANF’s global markets directly. It highlights the potential of the country as a hub for innovative agriculture and the food industry.
