HTC International Telecommunication JSC (HTC-ITC), a subsidiary of the Hanoi Telecommunications Corporation (Hanoi Telecom), has officially implemented its Hoa Lac Green Data Center I in Hanoi. This is the first data center in Vietnam that meets Uptime Institute’s Tier 3 standards in both design, construction, and operation. Uptime Institue is among the world’s most prestigious data center certification organizations.
Data center infrastructure costs and operational complexities increase with Tier Level, ranging from Tier 1 to Tier 4. According to the US-based Uptime Institute’s Tier Classification System, a Tier 3 data center requires no shutdowns for equipment replacement and maintenance.
To achieve this standard, a data center system must ensure uptime of 99.982% or more and downtime of not more than 1.6 hours per year. In addition, this system must be capable of operating for up to 72 consecutive hours in case of a blackout. This IT facility is also expected to achieve an eco-friendly high-efficiency grade.
Located in the Hoa Lac High-Tech Zone and covering 750 square meters, the new Tier 3 data center will help HTC-ITC’s customers experience a top level of service in terms of features, stability, and information security. HTC-ICT can meet the specific needs of the customer with personalization and full support.
HTC-ITC is a telecommunications company specializing in infrastructure and transmission services with a nationwide fiber-optic network of almost 10,000 km in Vietnam and international connections. The company’s solid infrastructure foundation is an important factor in its decision to enter the field of data center services.
