Vietnam’s Ministry of Information and Communication has officially launched the Viettel AI Open Platform, an artificial intelligence (AI) platform developed by the telecom group Viettel. Viettel, a state-owned enterprise and operated by the Ministry of Defense, is the largest telecommunications service provider in Vietnam.
The Viettel AI Open Platform uses AI technologies to help automate, optimize, and efficiently operate organizations and businesses, focusing on areas such as Vietnamese speech processing, Vietnamese natural language processing, and computer vision.
The launch is part of a chain of events to introduce locally-developed digital platforms which serve Vietnam’s digital transformation program. In order to strengthen research cooperation, Viettel is providing the platform free of charge to individuals, businesses, and organizations that registered to use it during its application development phase.
