Vietnam’s national carrier Vietnam Airlines has awarded to StandardAero a new multiple-year Aviation Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) contract for the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW127M engines that power regional turboprops of ATR 72-500 fleet. StandardAero will provide support to the airline from its PW100 Designated Overhaul Facility (DOF) in Gonesse, France.
StandardAero started supporting this fleet of Vietnam Airlines since 2013 with a range of services including overhauls, hot section inspections (HSIs) and engine repairs. Vietnam Airlines has a fleet of six ATR 72-500s that entered service with the carrier between 2009 and 2010. Currently, the Vietnamese flag carrier is serving flights connecting 22 domestic and 33 international destinations.
StandardAero is a leading independent maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider based in the United States, with 25 years of turboprop MRO experience. Its services include engine condition trend monitoring (ECTM), as a CAMP Systems Designated Analysis Center (DAC). The company provides services from their overhaul facilities in Summerside, PE, Canada and Gonesse, France, supported by five service center locations in the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia.
