Leading hospital group The Medical City has partnered with Ascent for the provision of air medical evacuation (medevac) services. Ascent is a Singapore-based on-demand air mobility, tech-powered service provider for booking helicopters and planes in Asia.
Ascent has in turn chosen INAEC Aviation Corporation (INAEC), a Filipino air charter operator which has extensive experience in providing air medevac services for patients nationwide, as their partner helicopter operator who will be using a mix of King Airs, Bell 429s, and Airbus Helicopters EC135s and AS350B2s. Through Ascent’s and INAEC’s helicopter services, patients can expect a faster and more seamless healthcare journey between facilities of The Medical City, free from traffic congestion and other connectivity issues. A medical team can also accompany patients during flights.
The air services will also include the transport of medical personnel and sensitive medical cargo, such as organs or fragile medical equipment. Patients and personnel of The Medical City can now fly to and from its nationwide facilities and dedicated Ascent hubs within minutes. For example, The Medical City in Ortigas is now only 25 minutes away from its Clark branch.
A leading healthcare provider in the Philippines, The Medical City services more than 50,000 inpatients and 500,000 outpatients a year, making it one of the most trusted organizations for local and international travelers and tourists in the Philippines.
