Thai Beverage (ThaiBev), a Thai-Singapore food and beverage company, is making a strategic investment of THB 9.5 billion (USD 263 million) in the AgriValley Malaysia project. AgriValley Malaysia is set to become a production hub for halal-certified products, which will cater to the Malaysian market and serve as a foundation for future exports.
With an allocated annual budget of THB 18,000 billion (USD 500 million) for 2024, ThaiBev is prioritizing its non-alcoholic beverage (NAB) and food business segments in Malaysia, earmarking THB 10.8 billion (USD 300 million) for these ventures. Around THB 8 billion (USD 221 million) will fund the AgriValley project. This integrated dairy farm will operate within a closed-loop system across 2,726 hectares, housing 20,000 dairy cows and producing 200 million liters of milk annually.
ThaiBev also plans to expand its halal portfolio into the ready-to-eat food segment in collaboration with F&N Malaysia. Leveraging AgriValley as a production base, the company aims to supply packaged halal meals to Malaysia and export them to neighboring markets, particularly Indonesia. This move underscores ThaiBev’s commitment to the growing demand for halal-certified products in the region and its vision to become a leading halal food and beverage exporter in ASEAN. ThaiBev’s subsidiary, InterBev Investment Limited (IBIL) has been established as the holding company for F&N and its subsidiaries since September 2024 via share swap.
