New Kinpo Group (NKG), one of Southeast Asia’s leading electronic Manufacturing companies, is expanding its operations in the Philippines, assisted by the country’s Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through its Board of Investments. The company is planning to establish a 24,000 square meter facility in Lipa City, expanding its existing 140,000-sq.m. facility inside the Lima Technology Center in Lipa City, Batangas and develop phases 2 and 4 of its First Philippine Industrial Park, Inc. Manufacturing complex in Sto. Tomas, Batangas, as the company furthers its Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Automation capabilities.
NKG is a Taiwan-based world leader in electronic Manufacturing services (EMS), original design Manufacturing (ODM), and own-brand products. Its product lines include storage products, printers, consumer electronics, smart home appliances, set-top boxes, and power supplies, we also develop our own brand of tech products like 3D printers, smart beauty products, and AI-powered robotics. It has other Manufacturing sites located in the US, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Brazil, and Mexico.
These expansion plans in the Philippines are expected to create around 7,000 jobs in three years. Recently, NKG was in talks with SM Supermalls on Manufacturing customer service robot assistants and is studying how to provide robot assistants in airports which will guide passengers in their assigned terminals upon scanning their boarding passes.
NKG’s local unit, Cal-Comp Technology (Philippines), Inc., is planning an PHP 6.77 billion (USD 130 million) IPO. The IPO had been approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission of the Philippines.
