Tri-Logical, an Israeli company that develops IoT and cyber solutions for mission-critical applications, has won a tender from the Thai government to monitor the locomotives of the country’s railway authority. The tender is worth over USD 1 million for the first three years, with an expectation for further expansion afterward.
Under the deal, Tri-Logical will supply monitoring services for some 177 locomotives of SRT, the Thai government’s railway company. Apart from increasing the efficiency of maintenance and operation, the monitoring services will help to improve safety and prevent accidents by providing early warnings of potential critical failures.
According to Eyal Trichter, CEO of Tri-Logical, “Winning this tender is an important achievement for us because the international railways market in Asia presents a growing market with new investments. The total volume of goods carried by freight trains in Thailand amounts to only 2% of all goods transportation in the country, compared to 18% in Europe. The freight market is expected to increase by 100% within a decade, in line with global trends. This represents a significant potential for projects and Israeli technologies, which will help the Thai railway system improve utilization of equipment and the reliability of its trains.”
Founded in 1994 and privately owned by ZivAv Holdings, Tri-Logical develops IoT solutions that facilitate advanced command and control, data analysis, and management in the fields of aviation, transport, and security.
