Alpha Aviation Group (AAG) has recently inaugurated its simulator center expansion project in Clark Freeport in the Philippines. The USD 11 million expansion facility features four additional simulator bays and a new Airbus A320 Version 2.0 Full Flight Simulator.
AAG now counts six flight simulators, which is more than any other pilot training provider in the Philippines. The last two years saw notable expansion activities of AAG, from the acquisition of two simulators to increasing its Cessna training aircraft fleet from 16 aircraft to 32. The company is also constructing a new International Training Center for Aviation Training (AICAT).
According to AAG, the remarkable growth rate of the aviation industry in the Asia-Pacific region, which is predicted to have 3.9 billion passengers by 2037, enabled them to pursue ambitious expansions.
AAG has trained over 900 pilots from 40 countries, which now fly some of the popular airlines in the region including VietJet, Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific and Air Asia Philippines, among others.
