Following a Dutch trade mission, Rohill announced that it will partner with Indonesian companies PT Len Industri and PT Simoco to obtain a leading position in the mission-critical mobile communication market in Indonesia. The partners will share knowledge and resources, set up a local production unit and define a joint market approach.
Rohill is a communications technology company dedicated to the development of professional mobile communications systems for mission-critical applications. State-owned PT Len Industri develops and markets electronic equipment. The company offers radio transmitters, railway signaling systems, power electronic systems for electric trains, defense, and solar power generation systems.
Rohill has been active in the Indonesian market for more than 20 years, the last 10 years together with local distributor PT Simoco. This new partnership marks a next step as Rohill will now produce in Indonesia, which will enable the Dutch company to gain access to the Indonesian public sector procurement, as the government tend to encourage domestic manufacturers. Furthermore, the cooperation agreement addresses Indonesia’s concerns over national security in relation to communication systems, as the government had stressed the importance of an independent and secure national communication system.
