DKSH Business Unit Consumer Goods, through its Indonesian partner Wicaksana, has partnered with e-commerce giant, Tokopedia, to distribute consumer goods on the Online-to-Offline (O2O) wholesale trading platform, Mitra Tokopedia. The collaboration encompasses the two largest Indonesian islands Sumatra and Sulawesi.
The Mitra Tokopedia marketplace application was launched in 2018 to support traditional retailers by providing a platform or reselling digital goods and for sourcing inventories efficiently. It enables users to sell Tokopedia’s digital products such as Internet data packages, electricity tokens, Indonesia’s Medical coverage program (BPJS), game vouchers etc. The application currently has more than 200,000 partners across hundreds of cities and districts throughout Indonesia. It was first launched in 2018 to strengthen traditional retailers by providing a technology for reselling digital goods and for sourcing inventories in an efficient manner.
Under this new partnership between DKSH and Tokopedia, orders before 10 a.m. on the application will be distributed to the sellers on the same day, while all orders after 10 a.m. will be delivered on the following day. The operation was kicked off on 1 April 2019 in Medan, North Sumatera, followed by West Sumatera on 2 May 2019.
