DHL Express, a worldwide logistics company has widened its presence in Malaysia with the launch of a new mobile “ServicePoint” and through a partnership with Parcel365 as its exclusive international shipping partner. The logistics provider said the latest additions would boost the reach of its vast local network of 146 retail outlets and service points in helping businesses tap into the global marketplace.
DHL ServicePoints operate on a shop-in-shop concept and could be regular local cafes, bookstores or even a fashion store. Customers can drop off their parcels at the mobile ServicePoint for nationwide delivery in Malaysia and any of 220 countries and territories in DHL’s international network. The mobile ServicePoints accept shipments from both registered and non-registered customers.
DHL’s collaboration with Parcel365 offers access to innovative storage technology for the customer to have the convenience and security of contactless drop-off and self-collection. Parcel365’s smart lockers allow customers to retrieve documents and parcels at any time and dispatch overseas bound shipments via DHL Express. The company now has 74 smart lockers located at high-rise residences and offices spread across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, Johor, and Sabah. It intends to expand to 300 by the first half of 2022.
