As the biggest property management company in the Philippines, Ayala Property Management Corporation (APMC) needed to transform its operations to digital to provide an overall better experience for staff and customers. The company is known for its service quality, and energy efficiency across all its properties nationwide.
APMC has partnered with Globe Business’ Intelligent Asset Management, to facilitate the creation of APMC’s Property Management Portal. This is a business division of Globe Telecom, Inc., a major provider of telecommunications services in the Philippines. The company operates the largest mobile network in the Philippines and one of the largest fixed-line and broadband networks.
According to APMC, Globe Business’ IoT services allowed their staff to get a full view of what their properties need, from stock inventory to machine maintenance. It enabled them to come up with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) which included modules and functionalities that were customized to support their specific needs. The CMMS enabled management to monitor the overall performance of their properties, giving them a bird’s eye view of their country-wide portfolio. With the introduction of digitalization and automation, APMC projects a reduction of paper usage for each of its properties by as much as 70%.
The Philippine facility management market is at an early growth stage. The future outlook of the industry is positive as the Philippine economy recovers from Covid-19-related disruptions. The anticipated growth in the BPO and tourism sector, and a growing number of commercial office buildings and industrial plants, as well as increasing demand from multinational clients, are likely to drive future demand for facility management services in the country.
