Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB) entered into an agreement with France-headquartered REVIMA to provide landing gear services. REVIMA is a leading Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) solutions provider, specialized in APU (Auxiliary Power Units) and landing gear solutions.
Through this agreement, the two companies will provide a one-stop-center service for landing gear replacement and overhaul solutions to third party customers. MAB will provide the landing gear replacement services for REVIMA customers in Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), while REVIMA will deliver landing gear repair and overhaul services for Malaysia Airlines’ customers, as well as offering landing gear replacement packages. REVIMA will also provide technical and training support for fleet landing gear replacements, including knowledge sharing on best practices and facility benchmarking with MAB.
Both parties will promote the joint services to International Air Transport Association (IATA) 3 operators within Asia Pacific. In particular, MAB aims to boost its MRO market share in region and REVIMA hopes to leverage on Malaysia Airlines’ experience in airframe maintenance and landing gear replacement.
REVIMA has recently extended its footprint in the Asia Pacific region through a newly constructed state-of-the-art landing gear overhaul facility in Chonburi, Thailand.
