The first-ever Long John Silver’s location in Indonesia has been inaugurated in Gading Serpong, serving as the brand’s global flagship store. The restaurant entered into a new partnership with local franchisee Cipta Putra Nusantara, with plans for a second flagship outlet later in 2023 and set the long-term goal of establishing over 50 restaurants in the market.
According to Long John Silver’s brand president, the company registered significant achievements in terms of brand recognition and customer satisfaction in Singapore. These positive outcomes have served as motivation for the brand to explore expansion opportunities in neighboring markets. Long John Silver’s saw Indonesia as an ideal destination for its next venture due to the rapid growth of the fast-food industry in the country.
The design of the new Gading Serpong establishment reflects the history of Long John Silver’s, while incorporating local elements. Notably, it showcases a 3D statue of the brand’s iconic mascot, Long John Silver, and Captain Flint. The outlet includes a convenient free-standing drive-thru and can accommodate 170 guests across two levels.
In addition to the classic menu from the United States, the Indonesian store introduces a spicy version of the brand’s signature batter for fried proteins, complementing the original recipe. Customers have the flexibility to enjoy these offerings through various options such as dine-in, take-out, drive-thru, or delivery.
