Zespri, the world’s largest marketer of kiwifruit, has officially opened its new Centre of Sales and Marketing Excellence in Singapore. First established in 2015, the center was established as a hub connecting Zespri’s markets together, as well as connecting all markets with growers in New Zealand and offshore. A new office was completed in late 2020 but Covid-19 and the associated travel restrictions in recent years delayed an official opening until now.
The office serves as the company’s gateway to all of their major markets, and is the main focus of its sales and marketing strategy, supporting its 17 global offices. The office features several collaboration spaces and a base camp area where the New Zealand kiwifruit industry’s history is on display, and with a mural demonstrating the strong connection between New Zealand and Singapore where Zespri has been selling kiwifruit for more than 30 years. The company has also credited the Singapore office with playing a pivotal role in the strengthening of its brand, including the global roll-out of the company’s KiwiBrothers campaigns, which aims to grow demand and attract new consumers, and the doubling of the company’s global kiwifruit sales from USD 1.15 billion to USD 2.35 billion.
