This September it was announced by the Office of the Energy Regulatory Commission of Thailand (ERC) that 34 projects will be implemented under its regulatory sandbox program. The initiative involves participation from major Energy players from both the private and public sectors.
Notable projects include: three initiatives involving a smart city and green Energy community from BCPG; two projects on liquefied natural gas distribution from PTT; two projects from the Metropolitan Electricity Energy, one an Energy trading platform and the other a virtual battery; two projects involving peer-to-peer electricity trading and wind Energy from Gunkul Engineering; and two projects involving EV charging stations and storage for renewable Energy submitted by Energy Absolute.
The commission selected the winners among more than 100 projects submitted. The 34 projects will join the ERC sandbox to test run their Energy innovations before employing them for real world usage.
