A smart helmet designed to detect COVID-19 will be available in the Philippines as KC Wearable, a Chinese technology and innovation company, announced its partnerships with two distributors in the Philippines.
The KC N901 Smart Helmet can detect if the wearer has high temperature or fever, which is the most common symptom of COVID-19. KC Wearable outlined the following key features of the smart helmet:
- Powered by sophisticated augmented reality technology, the helmet visor’s thermo-scan sensors show the temperature of people in real time.
- The helmet is effective within a seven-meter radius, enabling the wearer to maintain social distancing at all time, and has the potential to link up to other data on COVID-19 tracking apps.
- The device stores all data itself with a 64 gigabyte internal memory.
- It can rapidly screen up to 200 people a minute with 96% accuracy.
The two local distributors of KC N901 Smart Helmet in the Philippines are My Solid Technologies & Devices Corporation and Medcare Supplies. Outside the Philippines, it is being used in Indonesia, the United Arab Emirates, Italy, the Netherlands, Kuwait, Chile, Turkey, and some African countries.
