To encourage future development, the Società Esercizi Aeroportuali (SEA) of Italy and the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) have signed a sister airport agreement. This was within the framework of Routes Asia 2022, which took place from June 6 to 9 in Da Nang, Vietnam.
The deal marks a crucial turning point in the relationship for the relation between airport operators in the European aviation sector and ACV. More European travelers are anticipated to visit Vietnam as a result of the deal.
According to the agreement, the two parties will increase their level of cooperation, enhance the exchange of experience, and establish favorable conditions for the international flight network to and from airports covered by SEA and ACV. This will, in turn, increase air travel, tourism, and trade and economic activities between the two countries.
Cooperating with SEA is part of an ongoing effort of ACV to increase cooperation with airport operators across the globe over the years. As of now, ACV has collaborated with Incheon International Airport Corporation of Singapore, Narita International Airport Corporation in Japan, and the Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG of Germany, as well as airports in Laos and Thailand. The objective of these efforts is to broaden ACV’s international flight network and to share management and operation expertise to improve its service quality.
SEA is responsible for the management and operation of airports Milan Malpensa and Milan Linate in Italy. Besides having the second largest passenger traffic in Italy, the group is also in the top 10 largest port operators in Europe.
