Singaporean Cybersecurity Company Opens Digital Crime Resistance Center in Thailand

Apr 2023

Group-IB, a global cybersecurity company headquartered in Singapore, has revealed plans to establish a Digital Crime Resistance Center in Thailand. The company has also signed a strategic partnership agreement with nForce (SECURE), one of Thailand’s leading cybersecurity distributors. Under this partnership, nForce will distribute Group-IB’s full range of products and services through Group-IB’s Unified Risk Platform and will establish the first Incident Response (IR) team in Thailand with the help of Group-IB’s Digital Forensics & Incident Response experts. Group-IB will also provide training and dedicated support to nForce’s new IR team, and nForce’s team will be equipped with Group-IB’s Managed Extended Detection and Response solution to facilitate IR operations and data collection for forensic analysis.

Thai companies are increasingly being targeted by a variety of cyber threats, with banks in Thailand being particularly vulnerable. The Thai Bankers’ Association (TBA) recently announced its collaboration with the Bank of Thailand (BoT) and the Government Financial Institutions Association (GFA) to introduce new cybersecurity measures, such as facial scans for digital money transfers exceeding THB 50,000 (approximately USD 1,440).

Given the growing number of cyber threats, Group-IB’s decision to establish a Digital Crime Resistance Center in Thailand and partner with nForce is particularly timely. With nForce serving as Group-IB’s distributor, Thai businesses can access the company’s comprehensive range of cybersecurity solutions to better protect themselves against a variety of cyber threats. The partnership also provides nForce with access to Group-IB’s extensive expertise in digital forensics and incident response, enabling nForce to establish its own IR team to help address cyber threats in Thailand.
