The renowned Thai real estate and retail developer Siam Piwat Group has set new sustainability goals, aiming to power its operations with clean energy, advance its 360° waste management program, and contribute to the development of Pathumwan as a smart eco-district in Bangkok.
The company, famous for shopping malls like Siam Paragon, Siam Center, and Siam Discovery, intends to adhere to the United Nations’ sustainability goals and elevate its business practices to international standards.
The company’s Chief Operating Officer highlighted Siam Piwat’s plans to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, in alignment with its sustainability goals.
Significantly, Siam Piwat is making progress in clean energy adoption, including the installation of rooftop solar panels at ICONSIAM and Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok. Such initiatives contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promote renewable energy usage.
Importantly, the company is partnering with green energy organizations, such as SCG Cleanergy Co., Ltd. and B.Grimm Power Limited, to transition towards renewable energy. It also aims to divert 50% of its waste from landfills by 2030, and has established Recycle Collection Centers in partnership with various organizations.
