TaniHub, an Indonesian e-commerce company that focuses on the supply and distribution of agricultural produce, registered an increase of more than 600% gross revenue growth in 2020 – double the rate from 2019. Due to extended large-scale social restrictions imposed across several regions in Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic, TaniHub acquired more than 250,000 new users in 2020, fuelling the company’s rapid growth. Aside from selling B2C, the company also supplies agricultural commodities to businesses.
The company’s three business lines are online food marketplace TaniHub, peer-to-peer (P2P) lending platform TaniFund, and supply chain services unit TaniSupply. TaniHub provides customers access to buy directly from farmers with the option of same-day delivery through TaniXpress.
In 2021, TaniHub is looking to secure further growth, raise funds and expand its local market beyond Java and Bali. With only one packing and processing center (PPC) in Malang, East Java, TaniHub is looking to develop facilities in every province nationwide, and is looking at sites in the Majalengka regency in West Java, and Medan in North Sumatra.
