LB TekSystems, an all-Filipino IT company, which provides digital consulting, solutions, and systems implementation, is set to develop the country’s first transport booking and routing system, after having been awarded an exclusive contract from a leading oil & gas company.
The project, which will run through a combination of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), aims to reduce the cost of delivery management software development which will enable industries within the infrastructure sector to operate efficiently. Currently, local and foreign IT companies offer delivery management software on a subscription basis, averaging between USD 182.35 to USD 800 per month.
It also aims to open new job opportunities to other important stakeholders such as programmers, drivers, porters, and other positions in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) within the trucking and logistics industry. To deliver constant results, LB TekSystems is expected to work closely with government agencies including the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT), and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
The company, which has been operating for only over two years, has already established a presence in Singapore and has built 2 offices located in Caloocan City and Clark Economic Zone. It has been creating a series of novel technology platforms in recent months such as rolling out the first and only Filipino-made Electronic Purchase Requisition Form (e-PRF) customization and deployment using Microsoft Power Apps which will be implemented in three international schools in Singapore and schools in Vietnam. It is also the developer behind the first ever all Filipino-owned eCommerce platform that will be launched around the second quarter of 2023.
