The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has partnered with Danish green solutions company Danfoss Inc. to drive sustainability and decarbonization efforts in New Clark City. This collaboration aims to position New Clark City as a smart and green urban hub, aligning with BCDA’s vision of a sustainable future for the Philippines.
In a recent forum-workshop held in New Clark City, BCDA and Danfoss discussed strategies for improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions. The event, supported by the Royal Danish Embassy, highlighted key technologies and innovations that will be integrated into New Clark City’s development. These include low-carbon district cooling systems, renewable energy sources, and solid waste-to-energy solutions.
BCDA Chairman Delfin Lorenzana emphasized that sustainability is embedded in all development and investment plans for New Clark City. The project will also feature green initiatives such as the development of eco-friendly industrial spaces, greenbelts, river parks, and smart mass transportation systems. BCDA President Joshua Bingcang outlined the city’s comprehensive sustainability framework, which includes flagship projects like the expansion of Clark International Airport and the Subic-Clark-Manila-Batangas Railway System. The collaboration with Danfoss underscores BCDA’s commitment to future-proofing New Clark City and making it a model for green urban development in the region.
