Orissa International developed a structured agrifood importer database across six Southeast Asian markets for a North American public-sector trade body supporting agri-food exports into the region. The work involved mapping relevant Harmonized System (HS) codes across multiple product categories and extracting recent import data from official trade databases to identify and rank key importers by import value and volume. For each market and HS code, Orissa International identified up to 30 active importers and compiled company-level profiles including business focus, role in the supply chain, and available contact information. The final deliverables consisted of market-specific datasets designed to support exporter targeting, prioritization of outreach, and trade promotion planning.
