VinES Energy Solutions (VinES) is entering a new partnership to explore battery recycling solutions Li-Cycle Holdings Corp. VinES Energy Solutions (VinES) is a Vingroup company that specializes in the research, development and manufacturing of advanced batteries for mobility and energy storage applications while Li-Cycle Holdings Corp. is a Canadian company specializing in lithium-ion battery recycling.
The partnership is expected to assist VinES and VinFast, an electric vehicle manufacturer and subsidiary of Vingroup, in developing a closed-loop battery supply chain to advance their environmental objectives and provide green mobility solutions. The resulting production chain would see up to 95% of materials used to make automobile batteries, such as lithium, nickel, cobalt, and graphite, being reused again.
According to Li-Cycle, this partnership will boost the company’s status of becoming a leading and preferred partner for recycling lithium-ion batteries on a global scale. It will also establish mutually beneficial global connections with all parties and strengthen Li-Cycle’s broad and diverse relationships with leading battery and electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers.
