Vertiv, a US-headquartered provider of digital infrastructure solutions, has launched a regional training facility in the Philippines aimed at boosting technical expertise across the Asia-Pacific region. The new center, known as Vertiv Academy, is located at the company’s office in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila, and will serve as a skills development hub for Vertiv’s engineers and technical staff in areas such as IT infrastructure, power management, and cooling systems.
The academy is part of Vertiv’s broader strategy to expand its regional presence and enhance the capabilities of its workforce to meet growing demand for data center and industrial power solutions in Southeast Asia. Vertiv provides power and cooling solutions for data centers, telecommunications infrastructure, and industrial facilities.
Paul Churchill, Vice President and General Manager for Vertiv Asia, emphasized the importance of investing in human capital to support scalable and sustainable digital ecosystems. The training center is expected to serve as a platform to equip engineers with the technical skills necessary for operating Vertiv’s technologies across various markets.
In parallel, Vertiv is also adjusting its manufacturing footprint to reduce exposure to global trade risks, adopting a region-focused strategy with production facilities in China, India, and other parts of Asia to counter the impacts of shifting tariff policies.
