Lamb Weston, a leading global supplier of frozen potato products, has officially expanded into the Malaysian retail sector to offer its restaurant-quality fries for home consumption. This move follows the company’s retail debut in Singapore in November 2025 and represents a significant step in its broader expansion across Southeast Asia. The brand’s signature products are now available at major Malaysian grocery retailers including Village Grocer, Ben’s Independent Grocer, Jaya Grocer, AEON, and The Food Merchant.
The new retail lineup features six distinct fry styles such as Twister seasoned curly fries, Potato Dippers, and Ziggy crinkle-cut fries. Every product in the range is equipped with proprietary Stealth batter technology which is an invisible coating designed to maintain crispiness for up to twice as long as traditional uncoated fries. These products are specifically formulated for air frying or oven baking to allow for oil-free preparation in domestic kitchens. Additionally, the entire range is Halal-certified, vegan, and gluten-free to cater to the diverse dietary preferences of Malaysian consumers.
The launch aims to bring premium dining experiences directly into Malaysian homes to meet the growing demand for convenient and high-quality meal solutions. It further allows the brand to leverage its technological expertise to capture a larger share of the home-consumption market during key festive periods such as Ramadan and the Lunar New Year. Sustainability is a central pillar of this launch as the new retail packaging is 20% thinner and incorporates at least 60% bio-renewable polyethylene derived from used cooking oil. These changes align with the global sustainability targets of Lamb Weston to significantly reduce food waste and lower carbon emissions by 2033.
