UPS Healthcare has launched a state-of-the-art logistics facility in Tuas, Singapore, expanding its capacity to serve the rapidly evolving healthcare and life sciences industries in Asia-Pacific. Covering more than 11,500 square meters, the new site doubles UPS Healthcare’s regional footprint and is purpose-built to meet the increasing need for time- and temperature-sensitive storage and handling solutions required by pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies.
The facility features advanced automation and cold chain capabilities, including a built-in conveyor system, dry ice dispenser, and a vertical lean lift module to enhance operational efficiency and precision. Temperature-controlled zones range from ambient coolers to a dedicated -20°C walk-in freezer, fully equipped to safely manage sensitive healthcare items such as vaccines and biologics. All operations adhere to Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, ensuring stringent product quality throughout the supply chain.
Beyond efficient warehousing, the facility also offers value-added services, such as cold-chain-specific packaging, product labelling, and regulatory compliance support. These services are aimed at supporting customers’ seamless and secure distribution of vital medicines and medical devices throughout the region. The launch builds on UPS Healthcare’s broader service enhancements, including the introduction of UPS Premier, a premium visibility and reliability solution for high-value, patient-critical shipments.
This investment reinforces Singapore’s reputation as a global logistics and healthcare hub, strengthening UPS Healthcare’s commitment to providing innovative, reliable solutions for providers and patients. The expansion comes at a crucial time, as demand for effective healthcare logistics in Asia-Pacific continues to surge, positioning Singapore as a central node for healthcare supply chain excellence.
