Singapore-based Ninja Van has teamed up with Universal Robina Corporation (URC) to optimize product restocking and distribution across key retail locations. The partnership leverages Ninja Restock, Ninja Van’s B2B logistics solution, to streamline the delivery of URC’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) to retail outlets, including malls, convenience stores, and local grocery shops in South Luzon.
The Ninja Restock system eliminates inefficiencies in traditional distribution by co-loading smaller shipments, allowing manufacturers to pay only for the space they need instead of waiting for full truckloads (FTL). This innovation enables faster replenishment cycles, benefiting both URC and its retail partners.
As part of the collaboration, URC’s leadership team, led by President and CEO Irwin Lee, visited Ninja Van’s Cabuyao warehouse, the company’s largest automated sorting facility in Southeast Asia. The tour focused on digital transformation and supply chain improvements under URC’s “Factory of the Future” initiative.
Ninja Van has also introduced scan-to-print virtual fulfillment technology, which minimizes human error in sorting by automatically assigning unique tracking IDs to each box or case. This ensures real-time tracking of SKUs, optimizing stock planning for seasonal demand.
While still in its trial phase, Ninja Van’s tech-driven fulfillment model aims to address FMCG distribution challenges, improving efficiency for manufacturers, retailers, and last-mile delivery operations in the Philippines.
