Mapúa University has officially launched its School of Medicine, marking its entry into the country’s medical education sector. Known for its strong programs in engineering, technology, and architecture, the university is leveraging its expertise in innovation and digital learning to develop a modern medical curriculum. The initiative is backed by a partnership with Arizona State University (ASU) and Cintana Education, a global organization managing 26 medical schools worldwide. The collaboration aims to integrate advanced digital tools, simulation-based learning, and international training into the program.
The new medical school seeks to address the growing demand for highly skilled healthcare professionals in the Philippines, particularly in the wake of post-pandemic challenges. By incorporating inter-professional training and exposure to international healthcare standards, the program aims to produce graduates equipped with 21st-century medical skills.
As part of the iPeople school system, Mapúa University has gained recognition as one of five Philippine universities listed in the 2025 Times Higher Education World University Rankings. The establishment of the medical school aligns with its broader vision of providing globally competitive education.
Set to welcome its first batch of students soon, the school aspires to shape future-ready medical professionals while reinforcing Mapúa’s reputation as a leader in science, technology, and innovation-driven education.
