Envision Energy, a global leader in green technology, has achieved a significant milestone by signing the Philippines’ largest single wind power contract to date. The agreement, awarded by ACEN, the renewable energy platform of the Ayala Group, involves supplying 344.5 MW wind turbines for the Quezon North Wind project. This partnership marks the second collaboration between Envision and ACEN, following their involvement in the 600 MW Monsoon Wind project in Lao PDR, which aims to export electricity to Vietnam.
The Quezon North Wind project is set to become the largest onshore wind project in the Philippines. Envision’s agreement includes comprehensive lifecycle services such as design, engineering, manufacturing, and delivery of high-performance wind turbine generators (WTGs) featuring 150-meter-tall towers. The company will utilize its expertise to optimize energy generation based on the specific wind conditions in Quezon province, ensuring high performance and reliability. This project is expected to significantly enhance the country’s renewable energy capacity and support the Philippines’ energy transition and sustainability goals.
Kane Xu, Senior Vice President at Envision Energy, expressed excitement about the project’s potential to increase renewable energy capacity in the Philippines and support its shift toward a green economy. Envision’s advanced turbine technology and intelligent control systems are designed to optimize performance under local conditions, thereby improving wind energy capture and generation efficiency. The investment in intelligent control systems and data analytics will further enhance operational efficiency, contributing to the Philippines’ broader mission of adopting renewable energy solutions.
