Gorilla Technology, a British company specializing in video intelligence and IoT technology, has entered the design and development phase of its initiative to establish Thailand as Southeast Asia’s hub for AI-driven tourism safety. This phase focuses on advanced customization and integration solutions to enhance security measures.
Thailand is at the forefront of AI transformation in the region, with efforts aimed at setting a global benchmark for tourism safety through AI and international data-sharing capabilities. The demand for such solutions is growing rapidly, with projected opportunities exceeding USD 1 billion in Thailand alone. To support expansion, the company plans to form strategic partnerships and recruit over 100 new team members.
The design and development phase integrates advanced technical capabilities into Thailand’s tourism safety framework. Enhancements to the IVAR system will enable the processing of large volumes of live video feeds, combining real-time analytics with global databases for proactive threat detection and response.
Key advancements include seamless global integration, allowing connections with international databases for facial recognition, wanted persons identification, and license plate tracking. Smart resource management will optimize manpower through heat mapping and crowd density analysis, reducing response times by 30%. AI-driven accuracy improvements will enhance threat detection to achieve a 98% accuracy rate.
With strong backing from the British government, Gorilla Technology is strengthening ties with local partners to compete for high-value projects. These efforts mark a major step in advancing Thailand’s leadership in AI-driven security solutions.
