Berli Jucker and DHL Form Joint Venture for Healthcare Logistics in Thailand

Feb 2026

Thailand’s Berli Jucker Logistics, part of the BJC Big C Group, and DHL Supply Chain announced the creation of a joint venture to elevate BJC Big C Group’s logistics operations to international standards and support growth in Thailand’s healthcare market. The company will combine a workforce of 2,500 employees from both organizations, with Kenny Thai appointed as Chief Executive Officer.

The joint venture will provide specialized, compliant logistics solutions for Thailand’s healthcare sector, projected to reach USD 16.9 billion by 2030. By integrating DHL’s global supply chain expertise with BJC Healthcare’s knowledge of local regulations and clinical requirements, the company aims to improve quality, reliability, and operational efficiency. Advanced logistics technologies, including warehouse automation, Operations Management Systems, and real-time tracking, will be deployed across supply chains. Sustainable practices will be embedded throughout operations in line with both groups’ net-zero greenhouse gas emissions targets for 2050.

The company will operate multi-temperature warehouses and cold-chain facilities compliant with Good Distribution Practice standards. Staff will receive training combining DHL’s global healthcare logistics programs with BJC Healthcare’s local expertise. Digital traceability, standardized procedures, and compliance with Thai FDA regulations, GDP, and Good Manufacturing Practice standards will support healthcare-grade operations.

The venture will leverage BJC Healthcare’s network of hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies to expand access to medicines nationwide while supporting Thailand’s goal of becoming a regional medical hub. Workforce development programs will enhance skills in technology, artificial intelligence, and healthcare quality standards, contributing to economic growth and improved healthcare delivery.
