ALPLA, a global leader in packaging and recycling from Austria, has expanded its presence in the Asia-Pacific region by opening a new plant in Chachoengsao, Thailand. This new facility, covering 24,000 square meters, integrates production technologies, a technical center for product development, and STUDIOa, a design center for creating innovative packaging solutions. The plant is designed to increase ALPLA’s production capacity and expand its portfolio, offering sustainable and cost-effective plastic packaging solutions to various industries.
The Chachoengsao plant is ALPLA’s second location in Thailand and replaces the previous headquarters in Prachinburi. It introduces new technologies such as injection molding (IM) and one-step injection stretch blow molding (ISBM), further enhancing the company’s capabilities. With over 190 skilled workers, the plant produces high-quality plastic bottles, preforms, closures, and injection-molded parts. The facility’s strategic location near Bangkok ensures optimal connectivity and customer proximity.
ALPLA has been active in Thailand for over 20 years, and the opening of this new plant is seen as a significant step in the company’s growth in Southeast Asia. Alongside its production facilities, ALPLA has partnered in the ENVICCO recycling plant in Rayong, which annually produces significant amounts of food-grade recycled PET and HDPE materials, contributing to the country’s circular economy. Through these initiatives, ALPLA aims to offer sustainable packaging solutions while supporting Thailand’s long-term economic and environmental goals.
