Bangkok Hospital has partnered with Access Company Limited to pilot the AI Mirror for Vital Signs, Thailand’s first intelligent mirror designed for contactless health screening. The system uses artificial intelligence to measure heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation. It also evaluates heart rate variability, detects atrial fibrillation, estimates stress levels, and calculates wellness indices. These assessments are conducted through a 45-second facial scan that provides real-time health data without physical contact, helping to reduce the workload of medical personnel and promote preventive healthcare.
The technology, known as Access FaceHeart VitalsAI, is certified by both the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Thai FDA. It has received the CES 2025 Innovation Award for engineering design and real-world application, with an accuracy rate exceeding 90%.
The pilot project was officially launched by Dr. Asawin Phuvathanaphon, Deputy Director of Bangkok Hospital, and Mr. Suvit Sajdev, Managing Director of Access Company Limited. The system is being tested with hospital employees before being offered to patients in various departments, including the Health Design Center and the International Patient Service Center.
Bangkok Hospital plans to expand the technology by integrating FDA-certified thermographic cameras with the AI Mirror for non-contact body temperature measurement. The initiative supports the hospital’s goal of becoming a Smart Hospital that incorporates artificial intelligence into healthcare operations, enabling efficient and accessible preventive health services for patients and staff alike.
