V-Green Global Charging Station Development Corp. (V-Green), a green infrastructure provider and exclusive charging partner of VinFast in Vietnam, and Green and Smart Mobility (GSM) Philippines, an electric ride-hailing platform operating a fleet powered entirely by VinFast EVs, have signed an MOU with Meralco, the Philippines’ largest power distributor, to accelerate electric vehicle adoption.
The collaboration will focus on electric taxi services and the rollout of a public charging station network in Metro Manila and other major cities. It will also explore solar-powered charging solutions, workforce training, and technical cooperation in EV technologies.
Executives from all three firms highlighted the initiative as a step toward building a comprehensive EV ecosystem in the Philippines—covering distribution, charging infrastructure, and e-mobility services—while promoting sustainability and improving urban transportation.
