AWS and Singapore Launch “AI Springboard” to Accelerate National AI Transformation

Jul 2025

Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Digital Industry Singapore (DISG) have launched the “AI Springboard” initiative with an ambitious goal to empower 300 Singapore-based enterprises to scale up their artificial intelligence (AI) deployments over the next 12 months. Announced as part of Singapore’s SG60 celebrations in June 2025, this major program aims to propel local companies, ranging from startups to large corporates, toward building production-ready AI solutions that can compete globally. The initiative is a central pillar of the government’s SGD 150 million (USD 111 million) Enterprise Compute Initiative, revealed in the 2025 Budget, to fast-track AI adoption across the country’s business landscape.

Participating enterprises will receive a support package worth up to SGD 600,000 (USD 448,000) per company, including a baseline of SGD 350,000 (USD 261,000) in AWS cloud credits and specialized AI training. Additional funding is available for consulting and further cloud services, with the Singapore government co-funding up to 70% of consultancy costs, capped at SGD 105,000 (USD 78,000) for each company. This enables businesses to work with experienced AWS partners, such as AiRTS, Temus, and NCS NEXT, to develop, test, and scale their AI solutions, moving rapidly from pilot to production.

A key feature of the program is its focus on practical, sector-specific AI applications designed to drive productivity and competitiveness. Companies can leverage technical guidance from the AWS Generative AI Innovation Center, participate in hands-on workshops, and access the newly opened AWS Innovation Hub in downtown Singapore. The 8,000-square-foot hub will serve as a focal point for C-suite leaders and technologists, providing immersive experiences, skills training, and tailored transformation roadmaps. The government’s strategic vision is to anchor Singapore’s status as a digital economy and boost its credentials as an AI hub for Asia through robust public-private partnerships and rapid adoption of advanced technologies.

By combining substantial financial incentives, technical expertise, and a suite of digital transformation resources, the AI Springboard initiative is set to help Singaporean businesses chart a path from initial experimentation to scalable, impactful AI deployment. The program’s multi-sector reach and strong public-private collaboration underline Singapore’s commitment to harnessing AI for national growth and positioning local enterprises at the forefront of the global digital economy.
