Bangkok Medical Software (BMS), in partnership with Looloo Health, has launched PresScribe, an AI-powered tool designed to improve healthcare delivery in Thailand. The tool, developed by Looloo Health (a subsidiary of Looloo Technology), uses Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service to assist medical professionals in transcribing and summarizing doctor-patient conversations.
PresScribe is currently used in 35 hospitals and integrates with BMS’s HOSxP and HOSxP XE systems. It includes a speech-to-text function built for medical use, allowing accurate transcription of complex terminology. The main purpose is to reduce time spent on manual documentation so doctors can focus more on patients. The system allows real-time review and correction of records, improving accuracy and workflow.
The tool has been in use since November 1, 2024, in select hospitals. BMS plans to expand it nationwide. Early estimates suggest documentation time could be reduced by up to 80%, potentially improving healthcare efficiency and patient interaction across Thailand.
Dr. Chanchai Limthongcharoen, deputy director of Banglamung Hospital, noted that PresScribe allows physicians to concentrate more on communication by reducing administrative work, improving care quality and accuracy of medical records.
Chaiyaporn Suratemekul, CEO of BMS Group, emphasized the company’s two-decade history of supporting healthcare facilities across Thailand. BMS software is used by over 90% of hospitals nationwide. Since 2019, BMS has worked with the Ministry of Public Health on major projects, including COVID-19 vaccination records and public health data systems, to strengthen digital healthcare infrastructure.
