ZTE, a global telecommunications company has achieved a milestone in collaboration with Digital Nasional Bhd (DNB), Malaysia’s government-owned single wholesale 5G network operator and Telekom Malaysia (TM), the national connectivity and digital infrastructure provider. The partners set a new record in Malaysia with the fastest 5G-A Live Trial at 28 Gbps, as recognized by the Malaysia Book of Records.
This achievement establishes a new benchmark in connectivity, empowering network operators to deliver enhanced speeds and service quality. ZTE, through this collaboration, is actively constructing a robust 5G network tailored to Malaysia’s specific national requirements, driving strategic deployment across the country to develop top-tier wired and wireless networks in the region. This infrastructure aims to facilitate seamless connectivity and foster innovation across various sectors.
The 5G mmWave technology showcased by ZTE achieved the world’s fastest download speeds, contributing to its recognition in the Malaysia Book of Records for the fastest 5G-A live trial. This commitment to innovation is underpinned by substantial investments in research and development (R&D), with 20.4% of ZTE’s total revenue allocated to R&D in 2023.
