In a meeting with representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic in July 2024, Mega Group’s CEO outlined the company’s core activities and ongoing projects, highlighting water treatment as a key area of expertise.
Particularly, the Czech’s company highlighted how it could offer its advanced technologies to Vietnamese firms, providing access to Czech and European solutions for environmental protection.
Founded in 1976, Mega Group operates across multiple sectors and has six subsidiaries involved in cooperative projects in 18 countries globally. Since 2023, Mega Group has been working with a partner in Vietnam to deliver water treatment solutions.
With rapid urbanization and industrial growth in major cities and industrial zones, there is a growing need for water treatment and environmental solutions. Vietnam, with its large population and demand for clean water in both rural and urban areas, requires appropriate technologies to address these needs.
Vietnam and the Czech Republic share a long history of bilateral relations. In terms of economic and investment ties, Vietnam stands as the Czech Republic’s largest trading partner within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Two-way trade between the two countries has been growing at an impressive annual rate of 20-30%.
