The Ministry of Health has announced that Vietnam plans to activate a nationwide system for booking online medical examination and treatment from the 1st of July 2021.
Some healthcare centers in Vietnam have already applied the solution, but only as individual efforts. The Ministry, in collaboration with software businesses, has developed an online system for medical examination and treatment scheduling, which will speed up booking processes.
Importantly, patient health record will be shared among facilities at all levels, thus helping patients to continue their treatment at different health centers. All the data will be managed by the Ministry.
The digital health market is fast developing in Vietnam. A further illustrative case is offered by Docosan, an online startup platform designed to connect patients doctors 24/7 in Vietnam, which recently raised over USD 1 million in an investment round led by Taiwan-based technology venture company AppWorks.
